The “Altopiano del Sole” Association has been officially established: a project originating from the partnership between the municipalities of Borno, Piancogno, Lozio, Malegno, Angolo Terme and Ossimo, which will represent for the first time an inter-municipal territory.

The path to reach this milestone began several months ago, months in which, thanks to the efforts of the initiative’s promoters, the bylaws and goals of the association were defined, characterized by the shared planning, strategic and communicative approach of the member municipalities.

The newly formed organization will have the task of promoting a strategy that enhances the identity of the territory, its specific resources and indicates precise guidelines to follow.

The Altopiano del Sole aims to be a point of reference for all tourist, cultural and commercial activities, but also a link between institutions, economic forces and service providers. Through direct involvement initiatives, the association will intercept the future needs and goals of the territory and its economic sector in order to promote effective and targeted development initiatives.

Among the aims of this inter-municipal union is the desire to provide the territory with a control room capable of managing territorial promotion and marketing activitiesdefining its image, planning a shared calendar of events, designing new sustainable initiatives, inclusion and digitization of the territory, also with the aim of participating in European, national and regional calls.

“SHINES ALL YEAR ROUND”

“Shines all year round” is the claim decided by the Association to relaunch the Altopiano del Sole destination.

A unique, family-friendly territory, but also suitable for all lovers of sports, nature and wellness.

The association has appointed Giorgio Buzzi (representative of the municipality of Borno) as president and Mirko Pedersoli (representative of the municipality of Piancogno) as vice-president, who will serve two-year terms (with the possibility of re-election).

President Giorgio Buzzi, an administrator and businessman among the most vocal supporters of the need to endow the territory with an association, said:

“The Altopiano del Sole territory is creating a system to sharply define and strengthen its identity and its development objectives. An association to make tourism promotion and all implementation choices consistent in terms of territorial qualification and sustainability” – He added – “We believe in our territory, beyond the boundaries of our individual municipalities. We want to give a future to our mountains. The Association is a tool to make the Altopiano del Sole an aggregated and integrated tourist territory. A winning example for other territories in the Valle Camonica.”
