The most magical month of the year has finally arrived, and the Altopiano del Sole is getting ready to host events and happenings to best experience the festive atmosphere.

But what can we do in December on the Altopiano del Sole?

1. MALEGNO – TRUFFLE AND OLIVE OIL FAIR – SATURDAY 3rd DECEMBER

During the first weekend of December, the municipality of Malegno promotes an important event based on local products and taste: the Valle Camonica truffle charity dinner, to be held on Saturday 3rd December at the “Convento Don Mazzi” in Garda di Sonico.

This initiative is part of the Valle Camonica Truffle and Olive Oil Festival, an event that aims to promote two of the area’s excellent food and wine products.

2. BORNO – CHRISTMAS MARKETS – FROM 8th TO 10th DECEMBER

The Christmas markets arrive in Borno!

From Thursday 8th to Saturday 10th December, Piazza Giovanni Paolo II and Via Vittorio Veneto will host stands and stalls dedicated to handicrafts, where you can find original and creative Christmas decorations.

On Thursday at 4.30 p.m. there will also be a concert by “AltraZona Christmas Edition”, followed by the lighting of the new “Bike &Light” tree, a sustainable project that allows the large tree in the square to be lit up thanks to the energy accumulated by pedalling on specially installed bicycles.

3. LOZIO – CHOIR FESTIVAL ‘STELLA APPAR’ – SATURDAY 10th DECEMBER

The fifth edition of the “Stella Appar” Choral Festival is scheduled for Saturday 10th December at 8.45 p.m., in the Church of SS.Pietro e Paolo in Villa di Lozio.

Every year the Festival hosts choirs from all over the area, who celebrate the arrival of the holidays by singing and cheering up the evening with Christmas music.

4. OSSIMO – ALTOPIANO DEL SOLE SANTA WALK – SATURDAY 17th DECEMBER

On Saturday 17th December the centre of Ossimo Inferiore will be populated with red Santa hats, handed out for the non-competitive walk through the village streets scheduled for the afternoon.

An event whose proceeds will be donated entirely to the town’s kindergarten, and at the end of which there will be prize-giving for participants, as well as a festive meeting at the municipal gym, with games, music and a snack for all.

5. PIANCOGNO – CHRISTMAS MARKETS – SUNDAY 18th DECEMBER

The square of Piancogno is ready to host Father Christmas and the Christmas markets on Sunday, 18th December, in an area set up ad hoc and animated by the music of pipers and the voices of the choir “Piamborno canta con Gioia”.

For holiday lovers who want to spend the Christmas season enveloped in a unique atmosphere, this is definitely an opportunity not to be missed.

6. OSSIMO SUPERIORE- XX SAGRA DEL PÒRSEL – 30th AND 31st DECEMBER

How best to end this 2022? By taking part in the 20th edition of the Sagra del Pòrsel in Ossimo Superiore. Two days of tastings and entertainment to relive the traditions of the past, with the possibility of lunch or dinner at the stands set up in the heated premises near Piazza Roma. An event much loved by locals and visitors alike, rich in history and taste.
