ITINERARIES
For those visiting the Altopiano del Sole in November, there is no lack of opportunities to discover the natural beauty and landscape of the area. An excursion suitable for everyone, also recommended for e-bike and mountain bike enthusiasts, is the Croce di Salven – Val Sorda itinerary . Starting from Borno, head towards Croce di Salven and park near the Doline Park. From here, take a small road with a natural surface to the left of the main road (indicated by the signposts for trail no. 6). After passing two small wooden houses, continue climbing, circumventing the western slopes of Mount Tauggine.
At a certain point, you will reach a fork, where you must follow the path to the right until you reach a small grassy clearing. Here, the dirt road ends and a steep ascent with a stony surface begins. Continue until you reach the puddle located in the Val Sorda pastureland. On the weekends of 2/3, 9/10 and 23/24 November, the Val Sorda hut will be open for all those who wish to refresh themselves after an excursion in contact with nature. A destination not to be missed for lovers of autumn foliage is the little church of S. Cristina in Sommaprada (Lozio). The little church, scenically nestled between the spurs of the Concarena, can be reached by a route of about one hour starting from Villa di Lozio. Once at your destination, you can stop and contemplate the breathtaking panorama, which sweeps from the surrounding peaks to the Lozio Valley.
