Piazza Casari – Borondo painting

On the large wall overlooking Piazza Padre Zaccaria Casari in Malegno we find the work of Gonzalo Borondo. The square is a key point for the municipality: a crossroads between the parish church and one of the entrances to the historic centre, it is also the scene of many activities and events of the entire community. The artist has interpreted, with his pictorial style and highly personal technique (combining painting and engraving), the spirit of the place, highlighting its sacred and pagan components. Born in 1989, Gonzalo Borondo has produced numerous paintings and public art installations all over the world: in Spain, Italy, England, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Portugal, Australia, Hawaii, India, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France and Brazil.
