DISCOVER JUNE ON THE ALTOPIANO DEL SOLE

After a May of abundant rainfall, the Altopiano del Sole welcomes June with the bright colours of its landscapes, shining with a lush, intense green, like those painted on postcards. The desire for summer begins to make itself felt and the calendar of activities in the area becomes increasingly full, offering visitors and inhabitants a wide range of experiences not to be missed.

In June, the summer officially begins Borno Ski Areathe ski resort that with the arrival of summer turns into an ideal destination for those who want to try out the downhill trails, the Energy Tube for the little ones, but also for those who want to regenerate themselves with a walk to discover the ‘Bosco degli Scoiattoli’ (Squirrel Forest) or have fun during the music afternoons organised at the ‘Barissimo’.

Between expanses in bloom, high altitude excursions on foot or on two wheels, the Altopiano del Sole reveals itself to be a true paradise to be explored.

FOCUS BIKE

Are you ready to pedal? Thanks to the efforts of the organisers of the ‘Bike Adventure Team’ Sports Association, you can experience a summer full throttle in the saddle of your bike or MTB.

It starts on 25 June in Borno with the “Camp Academy“, an introductory Mountain Bike course for boys and girls aged 7 to 12. The course lasts four days and includes an intensive programme to enable participants to improve their MTB riding techniques, as well as many activities in nature where fun is guaranteed. New this year is the possibility of staying overnight directly in Borno during the camp days, for an all-round experience.

On Wednesday, 26 June, don’t miss the final bike trial performance by the youngsters of the national youth team, in retreat in Borno for the Training Camp from 25 to 26 June.The performance will take place at the Borno Ski Area starting at 18:00.

Another event not to be missed is the MTB Future Contest: two days of competitions dedicated to the very young categories, included in the Junior Cup circuit. On 29 and 30 June, Borno prepares to host youngsters and families for a weekend of MTB festivities, on a challenging and fun natural course.

On 29 June, the stage of the Dainese Gravity Slam is also scheduled, an absolute novelty 2024. A new slam of promotional Easy Downhill races, on routes specially designed for the very young categories.

More information on the summer programme of events on two wheels will be announced at the presentation conference on Thursday 6 June, scheduled at 18:00 in the Congress Hall in Borno.

WALKING WITH TASTE

Then make a note of the next two appointments!

Saturday, 22 June in Malegno will see the staging of ‘Cascinando’, the food and wine walk through the farmsteads of Malegno. The start will be in Piazza Zaccaria Casari from 6.30 p.m., and then you will venture along an evocative itinerary divided into 9 stages and 9 tastings,

After several years of stop, Saturday 29 June in Ossimo returns the ‘Bait Night:’ the night walk through the beautiful mountains of the Altopiano del Sole, punctuated by moments of refreshment and entertainment.

Two events that will allow you to experience the magic of the area under the stars, savouring authentic local flavours.

EVENTS AND FESTIVITIES

June sees the return of the traditional appointment with the Festa Popolare di Malegno, which this year celebrates its 30th edition.

An important milestone that marks the success of the event, which is always very well attended and appreciated. From 14 to 16 June, you will find the food stand open every evening, and from 9.30 p.m. onwards you can watch the live performances of the special guests of the new edition.

From 7 to 9 June, we celebrate the end of the catechetical year with the Borno Oratory Festival at the skating rink, where there will be good food, entertainment and music.
