82B. Malga Moren m. 1595 – Cima Moren m. 2418
Route characteristics
Fairly easy path up to the Goletto del Moren, then along an exposed ridge with some passages on small rocks. Cima Moren is less known than Pizzo Camino, but is less tiring and has equally wonderful panoramas.
Description
Trail no. 82b begins from Malga Moren, which can be reached from Borno on trail no. 82 in 2 hours. Having passed the fountain of the Malga and the first hairpin bend of the little lane, turn right (see signs) into a little valley which climbs up the green pastures of the southern slope of Cima Moren. . Go past a circular stone fence (old sheep shelter), turn right until you reach the watershed.
Go up the panoramic ridge, turn left towards the amphitheatre, where the “Sentiero alto” (high path) crosses (min. 45 – see signs). Continue the ascent on the path, which is never steep, in a beautiful dolomite-like environment. When your gaze can admire the entire rocky bastion consisting of the Corna di San Fermo and Cima Moren, deviate to the left and, after about a hundred metres, to the right, keeping to the bottom of the basin.
High up on the right is the crest fork of the Goletto del Moren, which is reached by steep hairpin bends on an initially morainic and then grassy ground. Proceed to the right, where some passages on small rocks begin, leading to a rather exposed ridge and the panoramic summit. Carefully descend the short, steep grassy section and, in a few minutes, climb to the summit from where a stupendous panorama appears (2:30 hrs).
